1. Overview

Cutify Screenshot Marketer (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to capture and crop a portion of any webpage and generate marketing images from it. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

2. Data We Collect

Account information: Your email address and a user ID, used to authenticate you and associate your usage with your account.
Authentication token: A JWT session token stored locally in the browser and sent to our API to authorize requests.
Screenshot crop: The image you explicitly select and crop is sent to our server solely to generate your marketing assets. It is not stored permanently after processing.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect browsing history, health information, financial data, location, personal communications, or any background user activity. The Extension only activates when you explicitly click the extension icon.

4. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate your account and verify your subscription status.
To generate marketing images from the screenshot crop you provide.
To automatically clear expired sessions from local storage so the Extension prompts you to log in again when needed.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties. Screenshot crops are sent exclusively to our own backend API for the purpose of generating your requested assets. Billing is handled by Stripe; we do not process or store payment card information ourselves.

6. Data Storage

Account credentials and session tokens are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Screenshot data is held in memory during the session only and is not persisted to disk or to any database.

7. Data Retention

Local session data is automatically removed when your JWT expires. You can also remove all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing extension storage from Chrome settings.

8. Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
